This is the slogan of artist Christophe Guinet, aka Monsieur Plant, for his latest series of botanical art. “Mac Tree” denounces our hyper-connected society by integrating natural elements directly into some of the world’s most iconic devices: Apple products. Monsieur Plant has transformed several Macintosh computer models—primarily vintage models from the 1990s. These computers, emblems of the early technological age, have been reinvented and adapted to the trees they now house. The “Mac Tree” project invites viewers to disconnect from the technology-obsessed world and reflect on the place of nature in our lives.
